Absorption coefficient, molar (e) - Absorption coefficient divided by amount-of-substance concentration of the absorbing material in the sample solution (e = a/c). The SI unit is m2/mol. Also called extinction coefficient, but usually in units of mol-1dm3cm-1. [2]
